Essential oils (unadulterated) can be used for their many different qualities. Because of their special structure, small molecular weight and lipophilic (fat soluble) properties, they are especially good to penetrate the layers of the skin and the cellular/mucus membranes. In just a short time, these properties move through the lymphatic system into the bloodstream and can work in every one of the 100 billion cells in the body.
A thoughtful application is necessary, and the motto is “less is more”.
